The Meticulous Group comprises Houseboat Captains, Investors, Carpenters, Safety Experts, Remodelers, and Managers who have individually owned and operated similar-sized vessels on Lake Powell. We are a collective of individuals who unite in the Spirit of Excellence over all our projects. Our vessels are meticulously vetted before purchase and then methodically outfitted and equipped to be safe and successful Multi-Owner Houseboats.

A Spirit of Excellence

The “Meticulous Mindset” reflects the ownership groups and vessels we produce, create, and operate. “Meticulous” is a well-thought, detailed, and ergonomic mindset executed with a Spirit of Excellence. We bring details to our vessels that collectively reflect our lake experiences and active lake lifestyles. We seek highly attentive, involved, and organized partners seeking to own and maintain a Meticulous group asset. We conduct ownership Interviews and discuss ownership opportunities with prospective partners before we sign them to a boat. We only set all our vessels up for success!

Our Focus on Safety

Our Groups utilize electronic group communications and require active participation from each ownership group to ensure the next group gets all the necessary consideration and courtesy to create consistent trip success. We intentionally add custom amenities and safety features to our boats. Things such as Starlink Internet systems, properly exhausted generators, updated Inverter systems, full LED Lighting retrofits, commercial grade appliances, LVT flooring, and Marine-certified electrical systems have been inspected for tampering by non-licensed serviced providers. In the wake of a rash of recent vessel fires on houseboats and strained service personnel at both marinas, we make it a matter of protocol to go through our vessels and comb through all the life safety and fire suppression systems to ensure your friends and family are safe during their Lake Powell vacations. We thrive on sharing stories and experiences with our friends and Lake families and value their vacations and safety more than our profit margins. We started this group because we love what we do. Therefore, it forever works. It's an opportunity to share our gifts and talents with others in our favorite place….

Meet the Team

Zack and Kalli Casebolt

Zack grew up only a couple of hours away from Bullfrog Marina. He spent his summers during the 80s vacationing at Lake Powell. His family primarily tent camped and occasionally split a late-model dual steel pontoon rental boat with another family. Houseboats in the 1980's were a treat to those who experienced them.

Zack began Captaining Houseboats in 1997 when he was in college. He would take his fraternity brothers to Lake Powell for Spring break excursions. Many of his friends still enjoy the lake with him to this day. Zack bought into a 18x75 Sunstar out of Halls Crossing as his first houseboat. From there, he graduated to a 22x75 Bravada (Helios) at Antelope Point Marina. He fell in love with the marina life and culture at Antelope Point.

As a High-End General Contractor, Zack's acumen makes him very particular about his assets and vacations. When he became a partner on Helios, the boat needed many accouterments. Zack began to correct these items, which quickly became a full-scale refresh. Unfortunately, not all of the partners were on the same page regarding their lake lifestyles and treatment of the boat. Protocol procedures and current standards on the vessel became challenging.

This was when Zack realized he needed to move on and seek more like-minded partners. He began to see that the wealth wasn't so much in the boat but rather in the partners' quality. At this point, Zack had a friend interested in a custom build. After careful thought and consideration, "Meticulous" was commissioned with Adonia Yachts, and the search was underway for the perfect set of partners. Zack is known for his direct approach and honesty. He spent two years interviewing potential partners until he filled the boat with the ideal people, agreeing to do things the "Meticulous" way.

Through this incredible journey, there were many unique interactions with people who love Lake Powell. During the trip, Zack and Nick could ascertain ownership of another slightly used vessel in which they sought new partners. They implemented the Meticulous mindset and the new protocol and organization Nick has used for years in his business and on his houseboat. The combination of policy and procedure has given birth to the Meticulous Group.

Zack and his wife, Kalli, have felt a gentle calling to go further with the Meticulous brand while continuing to do upscale remodeling work in Denver. Zack and Kalli love dock life, and Kalli enjoys exercising her gift of hospitality and hosting guests, partners, and workers. Kalli brings the woman's touch to the boats and assists in outfitting each boat with quality items needed to keep the group's vessels up to date and ready for entertainment.

Nick and Rachel Liput

Nick created one of Denver’s best outdoor living companies through his dedication, expertise, and business acumen. Nick’s ability to understand how to lead, incentivize, and cultivate his team, in addition to understanding how to reach and continue to keep his customers satisfied, has aided in his company’s success over the past 15 years.

Nick enjoys challenging himself and others to excel in their gifts and talents. He brings this same mindset to his passion for house boating, something which he has enjoyed for almost two decades on Lake Powell. Nick's administrative leadership has resulted in great partner and employee retention, translating into the houseboat market. For instance, many painters will follow him from boat to boat. This parallels the Meticulous mindset and proves by default that suitable partners are the wealth of the multi-owner houseboat community.

Nick and his wife Rachel make an excellent team, and it shows through the rapid growth of their outdoor living company. Rachel’s knack for handling logistics and creating vital processes to ensure that the business continues moving in the correct direction has aided the company’s success. Rachel brings her expertise to aid in the success of The Meticulous Group.

Zack and Nick met at Lake Powell and quickly became friends and power partners. They have helped each other build excellent businesses and shared many lake adventures. They accidentally found themselves tied up together in a houseboat, and the next thing they knew, they were filling the market need for quality mid-range boats for like-minded boat owners in search of excellent vacations.

Nick and Zack are prepared to overcome personnel issues in Page, Arizona, by supplementing needed skilled labor from in-house sources. They plan to assist ownership groups as each vessel requires. The Meticulous Group will know its owners and boats and set a new standard for those desiring better quality and protocol.
