Our Process
Complete Pre-Approval Questionnaire
Please complete our pre-approval questionnaire so that we can better understand your past experience. By viewing our current inventory, identify the vessel and houseboat type you are interested in. Review initial share offerings and re-listed shares available on each vessel.
Schedule a Zoom or Conference
After completing the pre-approval questionnaire, you will be prompted to schedule a Zoom meeting with an MG Team Member after the questionnaire submission. During this interview, you can ask specific questions about the vessel, the ownership group, and issues or needs you may want to bring to the group's attention. Concurrently, you will be asked to discuss your house boating experience with the group to determine what training you might need before joining the group and your willingness to conform to any specific guidelines each vessel may desire to implement.
Schedule a Zoom or Conference
Once you are comfortable moving forward, you will be asked to put down a $5,000 deposit that may or may not be refundable depending on the specific boat and its current offering. Once you have committed the deposit, you will have a 14-day period to vet the vessel and opportunity. That could mean visiting the boat in person, sending an agent in your place, or reviewing the most current Marine Survey. Once the final decision has been made, you will be asked to send the remaining share amount via bank wire, ACH, or certified funds.
Re-selling Your Share
Re-selling your share. While we are not a brokerage, we desire to keep our current and past vessels up to date with each ownership group. We will require fractional ownership member to re-list or offer their share back to the group before listing independently. Agreeing to this won’t prohibit you from independently listing your share. However, it will allow us to offer the share to those who have already expressed interest in a particular vessel and inadvertently give the seller an advantageous opportunity to sell the share quickly and equitably.
